When I was ten years old my cousin showed me how the notes on a music score corresponded to the keys on our family piano. There was some blank score paper in the piano bench and I composed my first piece of music that day.

The piano was an upright built by Eilers in Portland, Oregon sometime in the 1920s. I improvised on it all the time. I've played modern and baroque flute, and viola, and tried to learn the Renaissance cornetto. I now enjoy playing my harpsichord and house organ.

I've written keyboard music for pianoforte, fortepiano, harpsichord, clavichord and organ. I've also written chamber music for solo violin , solo viola, wind and string duo, string trio, string quartet and a music for recorder, strings and continuo.
